NHS 24’s Service Delivery Team is looking for a Web Developer. The post holder will:
- Lead the technical specification, design, development, testing and ongoing improvement of web based software systems .
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications in order to ensure there is an effective blueprint for the design and delivery of software systems.
- Provide guidance and support to both NHS 24 staff and external partners and customers to enable them to make best use of the organisation’s web based systems
- Contribute to the management and maintenance of software systems and services
A degree or relevant qualification in software development, software engineering or equivalent and extensive experience of designing and developing customer-focused complex dynamic information systems and software particularly in a web or intranet environment
In-depth knowledge of technical development and programming skills in a range of environments.
Experience of working within a formal project environment is essential.
Systems analysis experience and the ability to design relational database structures.
Experience in information architecture, data modelling, metadata standards, and designing and developing systems, along with skills in user testing.
Good communication skills both oral and written as well as good interpersonal skills and working as part of a team.
