About Capability
Capability Scotland campaigns with, and provides education, employment and care services for more than 1,000 disabled children and adults across Scotland. The workforce comprises of a wide variety of roles including Allied Health professionals, Teachers, Care and Support staff.
About our schools
Capability runs and operates two specialist schools in Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire educating pupils from across Scotland, some of whom stay on a residential basis.
About the role
Working as part of a small senior team the Business Manager will support the Schools and Residential Care Services to deliver the highest standards in education, health and care. Your duties will primarily involve financial resource management, administration management, management of information systems and ICT, and facility and property management.
Reporting to the Lead Service Manager you will work closely with the team in order to support our pupils and young people who have complex needs. In addition to you will contribute to the leadership of the schools and residents by becoming part of the leadership team.
Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role; have a thorough understanding of business management issues, have Project Management experience and have a high standard of written English. The ability to identify pragmatic solutions which meet business needs coupled with the ability to influence and persuade managers is key.
