Based in Johnstone Locality Office, Floorburn House, Floors Street, Johnstone.

Part of Renfrewshire’s Children Services, you will work directly with the Special Needs in Pregnancy team, based in the RAH, assessing pre birth cases. You will work with families on assessment, care management and intervention services within a multi-disciplinary framework, ensuring best outcomes for service users. You will work within the framework of relevant legislation, council policy and procedures.

You must have relevant experience regarding social work practice and be able to demonstrate that you understand the legal basis and the social policy context underpinning social work practice. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of social processes and human development in addition to a thorough knowledge of social work approaches and interventions.

You must have experience and understanding of child protection, individual and family casework and the assessment and care management process. You will possess sound analytical skills, good IT skills, good verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, be able to work on your own initiative, have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload. You will be able to maintain accurate case records and be able to work in partnership with other agencies as well as demonstrating delivery of services through case work and crisis intervention. You must be flexible, highly motivated and committed to social work values.

You must have a relevant Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW or equivalent) and be registered with the SSSC or other appropriate Social Care Regulatory Body.
