Job Description

Based at Montrose Sports Centre, working an average of 15 hours per week, based on a 4-week rota which includes weekdays, evenings and weekends, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy leisure facility. Your duties will include pool supervision, fitness suite inductions, cleaning, setting up equipment, assisting at reception and ensuring that all areas are ready for customer use. This job is temporary until no later than 31 December 2012.

Requirements

You must have three 'O'/Standard Grades at grade 4 or above including English, or equivalent, along with a RLSS Pool Lifeguard qualification or be able to achieve this within three months. You must also have good oral and written communication, customer care and numeracy skills along with knowledge of health and safety, and a flexible approach to work.

A friendly, outgoing personality, the ability to use your initiative and work as part of a team and experience of working with members of the public are essential. Experience of working in a leisure facility, an ISRM Pool Plant Operator Certificate and a First Aid certificate are desirable.

You may also be required to provide cover at other leisure facilities within the Angus area.
