Experienced Technical Support Engineer required for client based in Ayrshire.

Applicants must have experience in a heavy engineering environment within manufacturing.
Capabilities should include, ability to read bills of materials, specifications and drawings.

ROLE OBJECTIVES:

Convert purchase order to production order within 24 hours
To ensure that all coating aspects on the drawing are highlighted and as such explained clearly to production.
To maintain and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Liaise with goods inwards.
Perform Contract Review -
Review each P.O. against the quotation ensuring all B.O.M’s, drawings and ensure revisions are correct.
Liaise with customer to gain clarification on any outstanding issues with BOM’s, drawings or specifications
Ensure at all times that the production department are aware of coating requirements.
Creates job on Fleet- Load job onto our Production Management system creating job number and traceability
Marks up drawing -
Review the order requirements of each job and mark up the drawing highlighting all area’s to be coated/painted or masked.
Provide the Production Manager with a copy of the marked drawings and provide a short explanation of the job to be under taken by production.
Completes and issues Process Control Sheets. Detail in writing on the Process control sheet any areas of concern within the job
Undertakes testing and inspection.
Stores and files latest revision of drawings and specifications
Provide cover for Internal Sales Engineer.

NACE or ICorr level 1 qualification advantageous.

Salary dependant on experience.
