Funded by the Scottish Government, RNIB and Action on Hearing Loss's new partnership service is designed to improve access to services and improve quality of life for people with “hidden” sensory loss, including those with learning disabilities and complex needs.

As Project Development Officer you will work as part of RNIB Scotland's Team, in partnership with Action on Hearing Loss. You will work with individuals, carers and professionals to support adults with “hidden” sensory loss to access community eye care, audiology and other support services.

You will be involved in the training and co-ordination of sensory champions to build capacity across Ayrshire, and will work with professionals to ensure that sensory loss issues are consistently and systematically addressed.

You will have experience in working with adults with complex needs or with people with sensory loss.

Training, which may include sensory assessment, will be provided as appropriate.

Appointment is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme) and appropriate check.
