Credit Control Operative Paisley   £16,500 p.a.

The Credit control team forms part of the operations team in the Shared Service Centre.   The team is responsible for the collection of the Society’s outstanding debt, ensuring correct allocation to customer accounts, liaison with Accounts Receivable department and other finance departments and operational managers to ensure efficient and effective service to the Society whilst complying with all statutory regulations.  The job purpose is to achieve optimum debt collection performance by utilising credit control skills.

The post holder will chase arrears by telephone and letter; reconcile customer accounts and carry out credit checking and investigation.  You will also be responsible for producing and analysing debtor reports and preparing journals where adjustments are necessary.

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, you will have first rate communication skills and have experience of using computerised accounting systems and the ability to work in a pressurised environment independently of direct supervision. It is essential that you have a proven track record in a high volume Credit Controller post
