JOB
This role will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
* Taking sole accountability for monitoring that reporting is using complete, appropriate and accurate data
* Providing assurance to the Executive and Board sub-committees that the data quality management policy is fully operational and all data deficiencies are logged and appropriately reported
* Leading the implementation of the company's management policy.
* Interpreting FSA, DNB and company requirements to ensure these are incorporated appropriately
* Engaging and influencing internal stakeholders from Executives to reporting managers to ensure policy is embedded
* Developing, implementing and managing the appropriate procedures to meet the requirements of the data quality management policy and facilitating a strong governance over data
* Managing the ongoing monitoring of data in scope for the data quality policy ensuring the business owners and senior management are fully briefed on all data deficiencies and action plans where appropriate
* Developing and managing a team capable of delivering all the areas detailed above
* Engaging and influencing key stakeholders such as Risk Directors and executives through attending appropriate governance forums such as chairing the Data Steering Committee regularly attending the Internal Model Management Committee
YOU
You will ideally be skilled/qualified in the following areas:
* Demonstrable industry experience is essential
* Financial services/asset management industry experience is preferable
* Understanding of relevant financial contexts e.g Economic Capital frameworks, IFRS reporting
* Demonstrable experience in regulatory and controls framework
* Knowledge of Data Management principles, techniques and best practices
* Strong leaderships skills with obvious gravitas and personal credibility
* Well developed communication skills
* Proven decision making skills with the ability to operate independently and objectively
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the Executive and senior managers
* Strong influencing skills with the ability to persuade all areas of the business to accept and follow legal advice
* Creative problem solving skills
* Outstanding commercial judgement and the ability to exercise it
