My client based in Paisley is currently looking for an Assistant Building Surveyor for a period of 3 - 6months starting ASAP. You would need to hold or go through a Basic Disclosure for this position.

Job Responsibilities
Providing building surveying consultancy services to a diverse range of departments.
Providing building and project management expertise.
Preparing and managing life cycle maintenance plans for public buildings.
Ensure due diligence is provided across a wide range of projects.
Undertake professional services including condition surveys, defect analysis, dilapidation surveys and schedules of condition.
Client liaison to develop project briefs and associated feasibility studies.
Preparation of contract documentation including CAD drawings.
Contract administration of maintenance and refurbishment projects.
Compliance with all Legislation, Statutory Consents, Contract Conditions, Standing Orders and Divisional procedures.
Fire Insurance Valuations
Ensure DDA compliance within all projects.

Essential
Chartered Membership of RICS.
Preparation and administration of tender and contract documentation, with success on a wide range of construction projects.
JCT contractual arrangements.
NBS
Experience of a full range of professional services and whole life costing and life cycle maintenance.

Desirable
Degree or equivalent recognised qualification in Building Surveying.
Qualified CDMC.
Experience of undertaking project monitoring duties.
Experience of preparing fire insurance reinstatement costs.
Solid professional experience of working on public sector buildings.
Experience of NEC contractual arrangements.
