Principal Naval Architect Dunfermline

You will have a challenging and rewarding role and will be responsible for managing all aspects of design and development of Naval structures

You will have a broad range of duties and responsibilities which will include;

(a) Design of naval structures from initial concept through all stages of development to product commercialisation

(b) Determination of hydrostatic and hydrodynamic characteristics of vessels

(c) Design and analysis of ship structures

(d) Finite element analysis

(e) Shear flow analysis

(f) Stability checks

(g) Structural and Dimensional surveys

Degree qualified (ideally Chartered), you will currently be or recently have been a Naval Architect or Principal Naval Architect. You will have managed all elements of the design process within a marine or shipbuilding design environment. You will have utilised a range of design tools and have experience in ensuring design and development meets all regulatory requirements.
