Procurement Officer Hamilton   £33000.00 - £37000.00 per annum

My client in the public sector is currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer on a 3 year fixed term basis. Your role will be to provide procurement advice and guidance to the stakeholders throughout the business ensuring compliance for legislative requirements, value for money and best practice.


Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement commodity strategies

Conduct the procurement process for goods and services and make recommendations for both tender selection and contract award

Meet savings targets

Apply knowledge and understanding of the public sector procurement initiatives

Assist in the development of new areas of contract spend

Provide contract management advice and guidance


The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of EU procurement legislation with experience in all stages of the procurement process. MCIPS qualified or studying towards CIPS would be beneficial.
