Financial Accounting Manager Paisley   £37,500 p.a.

The British Red Cross helps vulnerable people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.

Over the past few years the shared service centre (SSC) has increased the services it provides to the organisation to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of society’s operations.

The range of business functions managed and delivered from the centre is extensive and covers services which include accounts payable, income services, credit control, financial control and reporting, tax services, payroll, HR data processing, systems and application management, fundraising appeals, training services, property services and corporate purchasing services. 

The post holder is responsible for the operational direction, tactical management and development of the services delivered by the finance accounting team.  The post holder will ensure that all of the services provided by this team are developed and delivered efficiently, effectively and in a controlled environment.  The post holder will be responsible for enhancing the services delivered by the finance accounting team.

The purpose of the post is to manage the financial accounting team of seven and deliver the following services to the organisation:

- Treasury management
- Technical accounting  (including preparation of the annual accounts)
- Tax Advice
