Underwriter Edinburgh   £22000.00 - £35000.00 per annum

Based in Edinburgh, my client is seeking an experienced Medical Underwriter to join the existing team. The job requires previous experience working within a medical underwriting position, please make your current authority limit clear on the application.

Duties to include checking and evaluating medical information and providing training to less experienced team members. You will provide medical information and guidance to other areas of the business and provide input into systems and process changes as appropriate.

Previous experience working in a medical underwriting team is essential and a thorough understanding of medical conditions, and their associated risk/impact on life expectancy is required. Medical underwriting knowledge will be tested at interview.

Naturally you will also be confident providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally.

Professional qualifications are highly desirable.
