Search Consultancy's client designs and manufactures special purpose equipment for a global client base.

Due to continued success they are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Manager to ensure the company complies with its health and safety responsibilities and meets the requirements of current regulations and industry standards.

The general duties of this role are as follows:

*Promote a positive H&S culture across the site.
*Interpret statutes and regulations relevant to the company.
*Advise managers and supervisors on compliance with their Health and Safety responsibilities.
*Encourage participation by supervisors and employees in solving Health and Safety concerns.
*Monitor Risk and COSHH assessments.
*Audit safety procedures and systems.
*Investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences and report as necessary.
*Maintain and analyse accident statistics.
*Process employee liability claims.
*Review, develop and implement written safe operating procedures.
*Order and issue PPE.
*Liaise with regulatory bodies, e.g. HSE, local and fire authorities.
*Liaise with employee liability and business disruption insurers and receive their reports.
*Liaise with company lawyers when processing claims.
*Monitor or arrange to monitor the workplace environment.

To be considered for this role candidates will possess some of the following attributes:

*Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
*Possession of a formally recognised Health & Safety qualification.
*NEBOSH
*National or International Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health.
*BSC Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health.
*Post Graduate Diploma in Health & Safety.
*NVQ Level 4 or above in Occupational Health & Safety.
*Membership to IOSH or IIRSM.
