Due to continued success and expansion one of the leader suppliers of technical equipment to the defence sector is currently looking to hire an experience programme manager. This is a great opportunity to join an established organisation who have an extensive portfolio of major international clients.

Overall Job Scope:

  • Day to day management of development programmes to deliver the agreed objectives including; shipments, costs, quality, time, customer satisfaction etc.
  • Support the development of future development engineering business, interacting with customers as required to develop the order pipeline and secure orders.
  • Continually develop systems, processes and organisation to support the development of the business (as relevant to Engineering).

  • Key responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of the Project teams and their ongoing development, including developing the overall organisational capability and mobilising and prioritising effort and resources.
  • Programme Manage all contracts through Engineering to ensure the business delivers on cost, time and quality while maintaining customer satisfaction and optimising profits.
  • Support business development to identify and secure future business in the short, mid and long term in the defined business development sectors.
  • Develop and implement continual improvement in relevant systems, processes and organisation to support the business in line with agreed improvement priorities and when necessary, the systematic resolution of other issues that arise.
  • Drive continual cost reduction and removal of waste from all aspects of our development processes and actively feed back into design for manufacturing.
  • Operate and support business and technical governance in line with company practice.
  • Actively contribute the wider management of the business.
