THE ROLE - Home Manager - Reporting to the Director of Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for this beautiful service which is located in the heart of Dundee. You will ensure the staff team enable the residents to lead a valued, fulfilling life and to maximise the potential capacity of all residents physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. You will develop new initiatives in care practices and overall delivery of a quality service.

RESPONSIBILITIES


*To assist the Director of Operations in all aspects of managing the home, ensuring high standards of care are provided for residents and that detailed Care Packages are in place.
*Effectively support the staff in the delivery of the services, proactively developing staff skills.
*To ensure the adherence to all requirements and regulations lay down under the Care Standards Act 2000 and all other necessary legislation.
*To work within a flexible rota system adopted to meet the needs of the individuals living in the home.
*Look after all aspects of management of staff - this will include motivating the team, training/development and performance management
*Ensure continued monitoring and assessment of the service delivered to residents
*Ensure high standards are maintained at all times within the Home


PERSON SPEC

*RGN/RMN - valid NMC PIN number
*Proven track record in successfully managing a challenging older person care home
*Experience of commissing new services - supporting marketing, staffing, referrals etc
*Budgetary experience
*Good leader (vision, values, standards, ethos), manager ( systems, processes, routines) and coach (delegate, exception manage, support)
*Proven track record in referrals/occupancy management
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Driving licence
*Well-organised self-starter, who can multi-task in a demanding environment
*To be assertive and confident
*To be person-centred
*Previous experience of managing a new commission
*Referrals/marketing experience
*Good interpersonal skills
*Demonstrate commitment to the values of the company
