Production Planner

Our client is an established organisation specialising in the manufacturing and supply of products for clients world wide. Due to continued growth an opportunity has been created for a Productio Planner.

The purpose of this role is to develop and execute the production plan and master production schedule for all production activities to ensure on time delivery of products to customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implement the weekly manufacturing release plan and communicate the master production schedule to the Operations Team
  • Manage inventory levels of finished goods to inventory targets
  • Full responsibility for JD Edwards MRP master data maintenance for production planning
  • Create and maintain the resources schedule to execute the production plan as per MPS strategy
  • Schedule jobs efficiently to maximize machine capacity and output
  • Ensure on time delivery of products to specified plant objectives
  • Maintain accuracy of planned work orders to support MRP/Inventory management

    • Ideal candidate:

  • HNC/HND qualified or equivalent
  • Experience of leading and developing a team is essential
  • Experience of JD Edwards software would be extremely advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
