Established and highly successful international manufacturing company are looking to recruit an experienced Product Reliability Engineer to join their business in the Highlands of Scotland.

JOB DESCRIPTION

An outstanding opportunity exists for hands on Electronics Engineering professional to join the reliability arm of this established R&D Team. Reporting directly to the Product Development Manager within the Design Quality Engineering Department,   you will work within Reliability and Failure Investigation identifying failures and driving product improvements in Electronic Product Development within a team of up to 20 engineers including quality, reliability and technicians. You will also work closely with R&D engineering and project leads both internally and remotely. You will manage reliability assessments on product design, execute product analysis, investigate  critical and major issues and customers returns, lead ‘testing to failure’,  investigate  failure and drive  improvements by liaising with external design partners and engineers to deliver the required quality and timelines required for a project.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Ideally you will be degree qualified in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with substantial experience of design and hands on product development within a ‘reliability critical’ environment such as Military, Mobile Communication Devices, Aircraft, Automotive or Medical Devices and with strong experience of design and failure investigation of electronic products. You will have strong electronic product development experience, be a real driver able to challenge design, functionality and push improvements. You will have a multi skilled background across electronic testing, design and debugging embedded software products, reliability and customer returns along with an excellent appreciation of Software and Hardware interface.
