Decision Support Accountant Edinburgh   £35000 - £42000 per annum + excellent benefits

Working for a blue chip PLC based on the outskirts of Edinburgh, this is a high profile role that would allow you to face off to senior finance managers across the business, make a name for yourself and hopefully progress onwards and upwards within the company.

As one of a small team of Decision Support Analysts you would be responsible for providing financial support for any changes or initiatives within the business for several areas at any one time. This is a role that involves a fair degree of Excel modelling, day to day responsibilities would involve:

- Liaising with managers both within and out with Finance to resolve issues impacting the financial systems
- Delivery of accurate MI to support the Decision Making process (monthly financial cycles and Budget and Forecast Process)
- Provision of ongoing analysis of the Business Units supported
- Provision of input and support process improvements, ensuring Business As Usual
- Assisting with ad hoc analysis and project work as they arise

You do not need prior experience within a similar role for this, as it is much more about the person fit and potential to progress within the company that we are concerned about. However you do need to be a qualified accountant (if you are awaiting results of final exams then this may suffice) with a valid CA, ACCA or ACMA qualification. You will need to demonstrate good Excel skills, as well as have the personality and credibility to build relationships with the various business areas.
