Approved Electrician, Whitehill Depot, Bathgate Fixed Term for 2 years

Building Services deliver both housing and non-housing repair and refurbishment programmes using multi disciplinary teams of approx 400 operatives and 50 staff.

To maintain our high level of service we now require a highly motivated approved electrician to carry out electrical repairs, fault finding, alterations and additions to housing and non-housing properties.

You will have experience in new electrical installation work and in a wide range of installation methods including conduit systems, MICC cables and armoured cables.

It would be advantageous to have knowledge of installation, maintenance and repairs on a variety of other systems including, door entry systems, fire alarm systems and data systems.

You will be expected to carry out testing; inspection and certification of all completed work and ensure all work is carried out in a safe and proper manner, in compliance with the requirements of the relevant acts and regulations.
You Must hold a minimum of SQA/ City and guilds parts 1 and 2 in electrical installation and City and guilds 2382 certificate (17th edition wiring regs).
