This management accountant job with a highly influential public body near Stirling will appeal to candidates looking to add value from a finance perspective. In essence, the management accountant's job is to provide management accounting support to client directorates and to promote management's compliance with financial procedures and guidelines. Specifically, the Management Accountant will do this by providing financial analysis / management accounting support in the preparation and monitoring of two project budgets with life cycles in excess of three years

Key Responsibilities include:

To prepare, in conjunction with relevant staff, the annual Revenue and Capital budget for both projects over the next 3.5 years.

To provide management accounting support for monitoring of expenditure in line with budgets, to liaise with budget holders and recommend corrective action as appropriate to ensure outturn on budget.

Prepare financial reports and presentations to the programme board and management on the current and forecast financial positions, clearly outlining potential variances.

To liaise with individuals and working groups within the business to ensure robust income and expenditure forecasts.

To complete the EU claim in line with European Funding guidelines.

To liaise with internal / external auditors as required.

In order to be successful, you will be a fully qualified accountant with excellent communication and reporting skills. The ability to influence is crucial to the success of this post. As such, the Management Accountant will be expected to influence at Director level.
