Finance Manager Stirling (Town)   £38000.00 - £40000.00 per annum + final salary pension + Flex bens

This Finance Manager's job in the Stirling area, with a highly influential and recognisable public services body, will appeal to a wide variety of candidates. The primary responsibility of the Finance Manager is to manage a small finance team, whilst providing specialist advice to a range of internal and external contacts regarding, debt management, credit control, payroll, treasury management and Fixed Assets. The Finance Manager will also maintain and develop sound financial controls, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements to manage the financial accounting section.

Specifically, the Finance Manager will be expected to:

Line manage finance services team section including performance management, appraisals, health and safety and staff training and development

Provide and implement recommendations based on sound financial knowledge and judgement to maintain and develop sound financial controls ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

Manage and lead the day to day activities of a customer focused finance service team incorporating; payroll and expenses, debt management, credit control, VAT, purchase ledger, treasury and banking and Fixed Asset Management, In addition to ensure all audit issues and audit recommendations raised by internal and external auditors are resolved / implemented within agreed timescales.

Ensure production of regular financial information for inclusion in the organisation's Main Board report. Develop relationships with key operational personnel to manage charging cost recovery and debt management and maintain the Asset Register.

In order to be successful in this post, you will be a fully qualified accountant with demonstrable post-qualifying experience in a similar role.
