We are currently recruiting a Transitions Co-ordinator to deliver our innovative Inspiring Scotland project in Glasgow. This project supports school pupils who have learning disabilities over an extended period to learn about the world of employment; gain work experience; plan for their life after school and make a successful transition to paid employment.
The Transitions Co-ordinator role is to implement the Inspiring Scotland project by applying the person centred model of support which we have developed. A key requirement of the post is to establish positive relationships with parents, teachers, employers and professionals who can contribute to the young people’s development goals and support the aims of the project. The preferred candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and time management skills. In addition he/she will be expected to create a fun and enjoyable learning environment which engages young people and increases their confidence and self esteem.
