Our client, a market leader within their field,  seek to recruit a SAP Payroll Specialist to support the Payroll Manager with SAP systems projects. Utilising your in depth payroll legislation knowledge combined with your strong SAP systems skills you will take responsibility for leading key payroll projects from systems testing, implementation and process improvement. In addition you will be responsible for processing high volume and complex payrolls as part of this large team.  This position is a 6 month contract role which would begin in September 2012.

Duties will include:

  • Support the Payroll Manager in the delivery of payroll services within HR, ensuring Full compliance with legislation applicable to Payroll processing
  • Monthly P35 reconciliation, Tax Year End, P11D reporting and administration of Share schemes
  • Assist with accurate and timely payment of salaries and related benefits
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders including 3rd party pension provider,  HMRC, Group Tax, Finance and HR teams;
  • Review and recommend process enhancements to promote continuous improvement
  • Ensure process documentation is reviewed and updated on a regular basis;
  • Management of operational activities to ensure workload is managed, prioritised and dealt with within agreed SLA's


Attributes:

Essential:

  • SAP payroll experience
  • IPP Diploma in Payroll Management or relevant professional qualification
  • Extensive payroll legislation knowledge, including an appreciation of future changes and the possible impact they may have on a payroll function
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good basic understanding of tax & NIC implications for benefis in kind
  • The ability to interrogate and analyse data, trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Strong people skills with the ability to work as part of a team to deliver to tight timescales always providing a high level of customer service
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
  • Strong people skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
    The ability to promote a professional and positive team environment
