I am recruiting for one of Europe's leading research centres, supporting cutting edge research into the molecular mechanisms of disease development, in an outstanding research environment, underpinned by state-of-the-art core services and advanced technologies.
A number of Scientific Officer vacancies have arisen due to an expansion of facilities at this site. The primary role of these new posts is to provide a comprehensive animal husbandry services, including routine changing and monitoring of animal welfare. You will complement an experienced team and will be expected to support the provision of a high quality technical service.
Familiarity with Transgenic/Genetically engineered mouse models, athymic nude mice and animal neoplasia would be an advantage, although training will be provided. A Home Office licence and working knowledge of the Animals (Scientific) procedures Act 1986 is essential. You must possess an HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
