Supply & Demand Planner Irvine   £10 - £12 per hour

We currently have a long-term position for a Supply & Demand Planner for a minimum of 12 months based in Irvine. This role will be to manage both short and medium term Customer demand, from both internal customers and 3rd party external customers, through their Export, and be accountable for production of a balanced Demand and Supply Plan which meets a high level of Customer Service, optimises manufacturing resources and inventory.

Responsibilities include:
Short term demand/supply management
*Management of orders and forecasts with customers within a 2 year Business Planning horizon within SAP
*Effectively respond to exception messages in Manugistics and SOLS alerts to ensure accurate order book and rapid response to Customer requirements.
*Work closely with customers and Supply Chains to improve forecast accuracy, managing supply issues (short and long term), continually improving customer service
*Contribute to the development of a feasible production plan with the operational areas that meets customer demand, optimises manufacturing resources and adheres to stock policies. This will involve preparing and giving presentations leading to decisions at Pre Site Supply Review level.
*Co-ordinate the resolution of supply issues with customers and functions across site, in particular Plant Schedulers, QA and shipping to ensure delivery performance.
*Ensure data is maximised and accurate in SAP and Manugistics.to improve the effectiveness of the Demand and Supply Management Tools


Long term demand Planning
*Contribute to the discussions with key customers at sites Product Review Forums to agree demand for 1-3 years for Supply Review and Financial Forecasting.

3rd party customers
*Review 3rd party contracts and ensure they are compliant and feasible for Site
*Represent the Logistics processes and Planning function in cross site teams to establish 3rd party sales
*Lead discussions with 3rd party customers on demand and supply feasibility, working on own initiative
