18.5 hours a week, Temporary for 6 months

You will responsible for contributing to the management of designated sites and protected species as part of the Strathclyde & Ayrshire team and across unit boundaries as required. This will include undertaking site condition monitoring for Natura features, site visits and complete the consent procedure for applications and consultations under the Nature conservation Act (Scotland) Act 2004.

You must have a degree or equivalent in a related subject such as ecology, species, habitat or countryside management, and relevant work experience with an understanding of relevant legislation. You must also have an understanding of Scotland’s species and habitats and their ecology, with an understanding of land management practices and issues. Finally, you must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and good IT skills.
