Operator (6 month FTC) Dunfermline   £15,000

Optos is a leading medical technology company engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of wide field retinal imaging devices.  Retinal imaging is an important tool for the diagnosis of eye problems such as retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts, etc., and can also indicate evidence of non-eye diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and certain cancers. Founded in 1992 and with revenue in 2011 of $143m, Optos is a fast growing international company with operations in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Germany and The Netherlands.

We are currently recruiting for a number of Operator roles to work within our Operations team. This role is on a 6 month fixed term contract basis and there may be a requirement for shift work.

Principal duties include: 

·         Assembling materials in kit form whilst stringently adhering to working procedures.

·         Ensuring capacity levels are maintained.

·         Maintenance and upkeep of area ensuring cleanliness and functionality at all times.

·         Effective use of jigs and fixtures.

·         Handling mechanical, optical and electronic components.

This role requires someone who can work within tight deadlines whilst adhering to specific workplace procedures. You should have previous experience of working as part of a team within a manufacturing environment and you will be organised and able to manage your time effectively.
