Your main responsibilities will be to over the payroll function, manage accounts, statutory accounts for 3 companies, VAT returns and accounting system inputs.
The successful applicant will have previous experience within these duties -
*Day to day financial control
*Production of monthly management accounts for the Trust and Trading subsidiary in accordance with required timetable
*Preparation of annual accounts, statutory returns, tax returns and liaison with auditors
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Assist in the production of budgets and forecasts as required
*All aspects of accounting for one small company
*Dealing with insurance matters, including claims and renewals
*Oversee and ensure accuracy of payroll including payment to HMRC
*Costing and pricing of ventures
*Commercial analysis and other ad hoc projects as required
The ideal candidate must have -
*Accounting qualification (preferably AAT)
*Demonstrate experience working within SME organisations
*Ability to work within a change environment
*Compute literate, especially excel and accounting systems
*Ability to work flexibly and occasionally at weekends
The working hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and also 30 days holiday entitlement.
