Field Engineer Lanarkshire South   £29K + overtime + allowances

This Scottish company has succeeded in creating a £20m business designing and supporting bespoke capital equipment for a global customer base. To enhance its support function, it requires an additional Field Engineer.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for installation, commissioning and servicing the electrical and control aspects of customers' equipment (with occasional 3rd party support as required). This will involve site support, primarily on PLC systems, regularly throughout mainland and offshore Europe, with occasional trips further afield; depending on the work you will either work on your own or as part of a small team.

It is likely you will be time served Electrical, with a strong PLC bias, and be able to fault-find and modify PLC programmes on customer sites; knowledge of one or two PLC suppliers is expected, and further training on others will be given.  As the role is very customer driven, you will need to be flexible in terms of availability, and you must be healthy enough to have, or to pass, a Seafarer's Medical.
