2 x 12 months fixed term
My client in the public sector are seeking 2 Procurement and Contracts Executive's on a 12 month fixed term basis. One role is for ICT and one role is non ICT.
Provide procurement advice, guidance and support to managers and other officials across the organisation to ensure adherence to relevant UK and EU legislative requirements and regulations as well as to Scottish Government codes of practice, guidelines and industry best practice.
Work with colleagues across the organisation to deliver optimum sourcing strategies, either business unit specific or organisational wide, that deliver best value for money goods and services which are fit for purpose and enhance business effectiveness
Assist the tendering and contracts negotiations process whilst demonstrating compliance with all legislative and best practice requirements demonstrating commercial acumen in the drafting and negotiation of contract which promote lower costs and higher service levels.
Key Skills and Experience Required
ICT experience is essential for one of the posts
Strong procurement and sourcing experience in a services environment
Public sector experience is beneficial
Strong commercial acumen
