Teacher x 3 Johnstone   £21,500 to £35,000 dep on experience

MPS Training has two registered schools (MPS Training Clydebank and MPS Training Johnstone) for young people aged between 14 and 16 who have additional support needs and whose mainstream education may have broken down due to social, emotional or behavioural difficulties. The schools aim to improve pupils’ attendance in the first instance, while re-engaging them with learning and placing a strong emphasis on health and social development.

MPS Training is now looking to recruit committed, motivated, professional and competent teachers of Mathematics, English and Technical Subjects to join our staff team. Our Head Office is located in Paisley; however we will require teaching staff to work within our Clydebank and Johnstone schools.

You must have the personality and skills necessary to engage young people with a history of challenging behaviour, interrupted learning and low self-esteem. You must be able to develop a strong and creative teaching approach while establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all of the pupils, parents, staff and external agencies.

Experience in working in a similar educational / social care setting is desirable.
