Salary: £22,977 - £25,832 With an HNC in building or relevant experience, you will be required to make decisions on all aspects of housing repair and contract related work based on observations made on-site and from information received. You will be required to give technical advice and to support local housing offices in meeting their technical responsibilities.
You will be required to inspect fire and flood damaged houses to ascertain the extent of damage and quantify repairs, including provision of accurate measurements. You will also be required to inspect work carried out by contractors and take action as necessary to ensure work completed to specification.
You will be required to support a number of Neighbourhood Officers who are responsible for a number of properties and issue work instructions on a frequent basis. This post is temporary until July 2013.
