Within Accommodation Services at the University of Edinburgh, the financial accounting department are looking to recruit a Cashier based at Pollock Halls of Residence.
You will be responsible for processing the department's central Cashier functions.
Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of cashier activities is essential, including: recording and reconciliation of various sources of money to ensure the ledgers are accurate and up to date, preparing daily cash bankings and processing credit card payments.
We provide services for students, commercial guests and visitors all the year round, creating a very busy working environment. This requires you to have excellent attention to detail, to be able to prioritise to deadlines, be a great team player and have extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
