Eden Scott's client is looking to hire a Workshop Coordinator to supervise onshore based workshop personnel who are involved in the day to day goods in/out, maintenance, repairs and preparation of company and client owned equipment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Responsible for the supervision of onshore based workshop personnel, goods in/out controller and apprentice.
- Assist in the day to day running of the workshop
- Responsible for the workshop cost control
- Control of all workshop planned maintenance systems, documentation, certification and equipment manuals
- Liaise with Senior Operations Engineer
- Control of all workshop personnel training & development
- Control of all training and development of apprentices
- Ensure that all personnel and visitors comply with Health & Safety Procedures
- Ensure that all work is carried out in line with Company QHSE Procedures
- Ensure that all workshop documentation and reports are completed to a high standard
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by line management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet busy business requirements, provided that the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these
- Provide assistance for the Offshore MDST when in the workshop
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Ensure that the workshop equipment daily/weekly/monthly check sheets are completed
- Provide holiday cover for the Senior Operations Engineer

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential
- Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering with HNC/SQA further education levels 3-4 or equivalent qualifications
- COSHH Awareness

Preferred
- HND in mechanical engineering
- Certificate of medical fitness for offshore employment

EDUCATION:

- Standard grade maths
- Standard grade English

EXPERIENCE:

Essential
- Team leader
- Good practical experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge and experience of Workover equipment
- Knowledge and experience of Flushing equipment
- Knowledge and experience of Sampling equipment
- Knowledge and experience of Hydraulic Control Systems
- Basic knowledge and experience of Electrical Control Systems
- Knowledge and experience of general engineering practices
- Computer literate
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening)

Preferred
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous Forklift experience
