Software Test Analyst Edinburgh   £22000 - £26000 per annum + benefits package

Eden Scott's client, a very successful software house operating in the financial services sector, is looking for a Software Tester to join their growing team.

This is a varied role and will involve working as part of a small team testing cutting-edge, client facing software solutions for a global client base. These systems are written in C# and you will get to work with the latest .Net tools in agile environment on automated testing. You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle and the role will involve the following key elements:

*Executing manual and automated testing
*Taking part in specification / requirements reviews
*Producing estimates for test planning and execution
*Producing test plans
*Producing testing progress reports

With around 1-3 years commercial experience in a testing role, the successful candidate will ideally have at least some of the following skills and experience:

*Good System Test or UAT experience. A strong preference will be given to candidates with Financial Services, utilities or telecoms experience.
*Experience of delivering high quality test documentation throughout the testing lifecycle
*Experience of using a defect tracking system to manage defects through the test cycle
*Ideally have worked in an Agile environment with Scrum or V-model
*Ideally ISEB qualified to foundation level in Software Testing
*Ideally have experience of creating automated test suites using .NET
*Ideally some knowledge of SQL databases
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
*A flexible, proactive attitude; the ability to work under pressure and deliver to changing business demands.
