A leading defence industry specialist is looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role is to manage quality documentation as part of critical naval fleet systems maintenance programmes. Responsibilities include;

  • Identification of quality record requirements associated with all work requisitions, nuclear procedures and subsequent administration.
  • Production of detailed Quality Plans to support Fleet Time Engineering Maintenance Projects (RAMP's) achieving stakeholder agreement prior to project start.
  • Undertake audit/surveillance of novel/high risk fleet work packages against relevant engineering standards in accordance with the vessel quality plan. Making recommendations or raising the appropriate corrective/preventative action reports to improve processes to improve processes looking to continually improve the standards of the products/services provided to the customer.
  • Provide competent interpretation and advice on the practical application of the customer quality and regulatory requirements for submarine/surface ship maintenance and repair work.

To apply for this role you should be educated to HND level in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification and have proven experience working in a Quality Assurance role within an Engineering environment. Previous experience of Naval fleet management would be highly advantageous but not essential.
