Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
-Provide controller support for firms' funding activities specifically those managed by the Repo and Stock loans desks
- Performance of crucial month end reconciliation procedures for Net Revenue and Balance Sheet accounts
Production of daily Profit & Loss and publication of key business unit reports
Understanding the business and products, for example Repo and Fixed Income Derivatives
Regular interaction with various different internal business units
The ideal Financial Accountant will possess the following attributes:
- Ideally fully qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Previous Financial Services experience with ideally experience of financing products
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
- Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong risk awareness
