SRG are currently recruiting for an industry experienced Senior Shift Process Chemist to join our Irvine based Client. Multi million pound investments have resulted in highly ambitious growth plans for this market leading organisation. Firmly established in Scotland, recent relocation to stunning new premises has seen them develop a purpose built manufacturing facility and state of the art laboratories. They are a major force in the provision of aerosol contract filling, branded and own label products for the Health & Beauty sector - one of the fastest growing areas of the FMCG marketplace. In this role you will be the responsible person on the shift to manage all aspects of the Process Area ensuring all target and deadlines are achieved. Lead and implement process Unit strategy on shift and drive processing innovation through the business, leading Good Manufacturing Practices and standards on shift. Contribute to the review of technological advances with sustained innovation to support product requirements and production operations in line with product development strategies. Lead and motivate the process unit through effective performance management and individual development plans. Lead on shift scale up processes for new product development formulations- from the laboratory bench through pilot batch scale up process and then through to larger scale plant manufacturing.

To be successful in this position you will be a Chemistry or Engineering graduate with significant experience from an industrial process environment. Strong equipment and process knowledge of scale up and transfer into larger scale manufacturing. Previous experience of emulsion or colloid chemistry would be desirable as would previous supervisory experience. Previous experience of GMP is strongly desirable. This permanent position offers a highly competitive salary.

This is a shift position and will involve working an early and late shift on a week about rotation schedule (Mon - Fri).
