They are currently recruiting for the position of PE Teacher, based in Aberdeen

Teach Physical Education within the French School curriculum guidelines (French language not required), coordinate and participate in sports activities throughout the school year.
Plan and prepare the lessons in advance and ensure that learning is kept within curriculum targets.
Carry out assessment procedures and marking policies
Record and report on the development, progress and attainment of children including initiating meetings with parents to discuss attainment and progress.
Keep a disciplined class whilst promoting the general well being of children.
Organise PE / Sport workshops for staff and parents when appropriate.
Participate in the provision of co-curricular activities including liaising with other schools and clubs to arrange fixtures.
Maintain resources to the required safety standards and renew, as necessary within the budgetary allowance.
Book sports facilities and carry out the necessary administration as required.
Write subject development plans, curriculum documents and policies in liaison with the head teacher.
Carry out lunch and playground duties as timetabled or when necessary.
Attend in service Training as when required.
Operate safely within the workplace and maintain a high standard of practice.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children that fall under your responsibility

Education / Training /Professional qualifications
Essential
PE and Sports experiences
First aid qualification

Desirable
PE degree including teaching degree

Knowledge / Experience
Essential
Knowledge of practice for teaching and learning
Up to date knowledge of current learning strategies

Desirable
Evidence of continuous professional development
Experience of leading / organising fixtures

This is a contract position - part time basis - 13 hours per week
