Search's specialist Industrial Division are recruiting for a small team of Heavy Handling Operatives on a permanent basis for a large international engineering client based in Fife. The role will be a multi-skilled one, whereby the operators will be expected to cover all aspects of Heavy Handling activities. Candidates will ideally have extensive recent and relevant experience in driving / slinging / erection of heavy fabrications, the majority of which will have been gained in Rosyth or similar industry environment. Formal training will be given for any associated tasks. Ability to take initiative, organise and prioritise own activities. Hard working and focussed with a can-do attitude and be standard driving licence holder. Operations of multi-axle transporters, complex lift & turning activities and general duties. These will include slinging/forklift driving and general crane driving operations. This role is based on specific 6/7 day cover, 2 shift pattern, details of which are available on request. Training will be provided where necessary; in particular you will need to complete a specific training programme should you be selected to be a Goliath Crane Driver. This role will require working at heights of up to 98m, during certain operation and maintenance activities therefore you must be comfortable with working at height. Please note that the selection process will involve role specific testing and medical assessments prior to selection of successful candidates. There are generous shift allowances on top a good basic salary which is negotiable depending on experience.
