Job Purpose Statement:
To provide technical direction to cell team members and internal or external customers relating to manufacturing and assembly processes and practice. Develop practices and processes to continually improve production.
To support planned workflow by ensuring appropriate documentation and equipment availability in accordance with project and product schedules.
Main Accountabilities:
Actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement and lean implementation in the department and product cell.
Design equipment and processes to ensure continuous improvement of manufacturing/assembly processes.
Generate and maintain Standard Work Instructions for the product cells in an efficient and timely manner.
Generate and maintain routings for production and subcontract parts using SAP ERP system.
Work with department and product team supervisors to maintain key measures set for teams.
Order tooling and equipment within budgetary constraints.
Coordinate Root Cause Analysis and Permanent Corrective Action of product team QN's.
Provide training/information for other departments relating to manufacture and assembly best practice.
Skills and Experience:
HNC or working towards with relevant experience or equivalent
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
A good mindset for continuous improvement
Aptitude for problem solving
Good communication skills
Good PC skills relating to job tasks above and experience of Microsoft packages.
