The Company

We are involved in the retail motor industry, representing Volkswagen the 3rd largest car manufacturer in the world. We are a fully Authorised Franchised Retailer selling both new and used vehicles, and providing both servicing and parts to our customers.

We have represented the brand for over 30 years and are now looking to expand to meet both our and the brand’s growth aspirations.

The Job

To fully manage the financial and administrative activity throughout the retailer while supporting the retailer management team with expert knowledge and advice in the achievement of their financial objectives, business plans and strategies. The role includes all aspects of the finance function including month end procedures, reconciliations, payroll & VAT returns as well as the day to day running of the department.

The Person

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious accountant to make a difference within a growing business. To be considered for this role you do not necessarily need to have previous motor retailing experience but ideally you will be a recently or part qualified accountant.

We are, however, looking for someone who is trustworthy, is able to work as part of a team and able to manage staff. Someone who is hard working, who pays attention to detail and is computer literate (including spreadsheets, word processing & power point). You should be able to challenge, be forward thinking and show a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to change quickly and effectively therefore there is a need for a flexible and enthusiastic individual. You will be a fast thinker with a good analytical mind, be tenacious and be able to influence where required.

The Rewards

We offer a salary of £25k - £30k together with a company car and the opportunity to join our Stakeholder Pension Scheme. This is a permanent position with a immediate start date.
