The Home Care Service is part of Residential, Day and Home Care Services. Home Care Service provides service users with support 7 days a week. As a home carer you would be expected to work a shift pattern between the hours of 7am to 2.30pm or between 2.30pm to 10pm.

The job entails working on a one to one basis with people, providing support to people within their own homes and assisting them to maintain as high a level of independence as possible.

Working to the principles of the National Care Standards – Care at Home and working within the policies and procedures of Fife Council.

You will be expected to assist with all aspects of personal care and domestic care where required.

No professional qualification is required as training will be given. SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable

You must have an awareness of the issues affecting vulnerable adults and children in the community.

You will have the ability to travel throughout Fife.
