The Company

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Qualified Financial Accountant to cover a period of secondment. Our client is a well known and respected business within the commercial sector in Central Scotland and will be offering an excellent opportunity for a tenacious and capable Accountant to join them for a period of 10 months.

The Role

Reporting directly to the UK Financial Controller you will be able to prepare and analyse the financial statements from various different areas of the business with a view to providing support to the central functions. This role will be a good blend of both technical accounting in the preparation of statutory accounts and then the ability to interpret that data and extract certain financial information on performance so that commercial decisions can be made. There may be an additional remit to provide some additional support to a project that is due to be completed next year which will be an over view of the existing financial procedures so any exposure to hands on financial projects would also be beneficial. This role will be an excellent opportunity for a confident qualified accountant that is keen to prove that they can provide crucial support to the wider finance teams by working to tight deadlines whilst delivering excellent levels of work.

Salary & Benefits

This Qualified Financial Accountant secondment cover based in Edinburgh will pay the selected candidate an initial hourly rate of £22.50 per hour for a 3 month initial temporary contract. After that 3 month period you would then transfer onto my clients books for the remainder of the position at an equivalent salary of £40'000.
