My client, market leading Global business requires a Project Accountant on an interim basis to support a high profile project. You will support and contribute to the delivery of key reporting processes and ensure that all key stakeholders have a clear understanding of costs in both financial and non financial terms by providing comprehensive analysis and commentary.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Analyse and challenge the information and data provided for a thorough understanding of the forecasts, movements between forecasts, and progress and spending against forecast.
- Manage the funding of the project, following timescales, documentation, approvals – and liaising with the treasury department to manage the hedging requirements of the project.
- Work closely with the project director to develop and maintain their understanding of the financial aspects by providing analysis on operational developments, risks and issues.
- Support the Finance Director in the co-ordination, challenge and submission of business budgets and quarterly forecasts in line with timescales, with the level of supporting analysis and commentary required to effectively explain business performance
To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant with experience of working in a project environment. You will be able to work effectively as part of a small team with the ability to influence and network at all levels within the organisation. You will be a commercially aware individual who is used to delivering to tight deadlines and any candidates with financial modelling experience will have a distinct advantage. This is a long term interim role until 2014 and applicants must be able to start in the next 1 – 2 weeks.
