A leading supplier of equipment and support services to the defence sector is looking to recruit a Materials Planning Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of this role is to co-ordinate the material required for planned and defect maintenance tasks ensuring that materials are technically fit for purpose, meet quality standards and are obtained in a timely, cost effective fashion. You will specify requirements, liaise with and arrange for subcontractors to support the maintenance teams where the technical expertise is not available in house.
To apply for this role you should be educated to HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or another suitable planning discipline. You should ideally have experience working with defence systems maintenance programmes. Successful applicants will have to satisfy MOD security clearance requirements.
