Excellent Sales/Key Account Manager role within the manufacturing sector based in Glasgow paying an excellent package including basic salary, car, discretionary bonus & full benefits package.
Role description
As Sales Account Manager, the main aim of your role will be to proactively manage and service key customer accounts in order to grow sales and maximise profits for the business. You will assist in the preparation of the annual sales budget in line with business objectives and manage your key accounts effectively in order to achieve and exceed against set targets. You will also assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly sales reports and forecasts to ensure that the performance of your key accounts is tracked.
You will have regular internal and external communication with colleagues and customers, ensuring that customers' expectations are clearly communicated and that any customer issues are dealt with promptly and effectively.
You will cost and negotiate commercial terms with customers including assisting and managing the commercial aspects of new product development with the NPD Manager. This is a rare and truly outstanding opportunity for a strong key account manager to further develop their career with a global market leader.
Who we're looking for
To be successful at interview, you will have a very strong proven track record of achievement in key account management and your sales experience will ideally have been gained within the packaging sector. An in depth knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes would see you as a real front runner for interview. Any experience on your CV from within the FMCG, Food & Drinks, Glass or Labelling sectors may also be of interest.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage, develop and grow existing key accounts through the introduction of new products and service opportunities so your experience of new product development is also key.
You will be very commercially aware and have an engaging and affable personality which enables you to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
