My client is a well-established organisation specialising in the manufacture and supply of products for clients world wide. Due to continued success, an opportunity has now become available for a QHS Coordinator to join the Dundee site.
In this challenging position, you will be responsible for:
Review and assist in the development of Health and Safety Policies, Procedures (Lead their implementation, application, and update the company Risk assessment). Conduct safety audits and advise on health & safety matters, Interface with regulatory agencies and training new and existing employees. Accident/Incident report and Root Cause Analysis used as a basis for continuous improvements Advise management on the health and safety competence of prospective and current contractor Manage Quality agreements with customers and suppliers to ensure that the company meets all national and international requirements. e.g MSDS / IMDS / ROHS / REACH compliance As part of Quality department the responsibilities will include support for the head of department in delivering quality processes and documentation such as Quality plans, PFMEA, Operations Instructions, Control of production scrap/ costs of non-quality Help to ensure that the site continues to produce the highest quality product range, by audit of product and processes, which will involve identifying areas for continuous improvement and cost reduction. Maintain the documentation within the H&S and Quality system Manage the external (customer and supplier) and internal complaint management (8D- report)
The ideal candidate:
Degree qualified or equivalent Health & Safety, quality and environmental experience gained in a manufacturing environment Conversant with management systems ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 Experience of working with implementation of internal and external quality standards. Experience of electrical and mechanical engineering, including safety aspects. Experience of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
