We are currently looking to expand our Operations team within this busy factory environment based in Denny, Stirlingshire.

Our family run business has been established in the Central belt of Scotland for over 100 years and currently employs more than 300 staff who sort, grade and process over 600 tonnes of textile material each week to be re-used and recycled in developing nations. We also work closely with national and local charity organisations, local authorities and waste management companies to divert textile material from landfill.

Due to our recent rapid expansion this new post has been created to:  

• Assist the Operations management team with daily planning and monitoring of production, general housekeeping and workforce scheduling to meet quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Ensure the Company’s Health & Safety policies and daily checklists are rigorously followed and support the promotion of a safe and effective working environment.
• Encourage continuous improvement of systems and techniques in all areas.

This is very much a ‘hands on’ role in a busy environment, the ability to use your own initiative to identify and anticipate possible problems before they arise is essential.

To be successful in your application you should have good communication skills combined with an even-handed approach, giving you the ability to maintain effective relationships at all levels. You must be flexible as well as proactive in your support and have previous experience of working within a busy operations environment. Additional experience of implementing Health & Safety legislation is desirable as are general IT skills.

Hours: 8.00am – 5.30pm Mon to Fri (42.5hrs pw)
